IT Connect is a conference that brings together IT professionals who are passionate about the future of networking. This year, IT Connect will be dedicated to the theme Emerging Networking Technologies, and will feature a pre-conference competition (3-6 pm), keynote speakers, workshops, online presentations, technology tours, opportunities for networking and more!

As a public college, Champlain Saint-Lambert has been offering numerous Information Technology (IT) AEC programs over the years, most notably our IT Client Support, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP programs as well as our DEC in IT Network Management. This conference is therefore an ideal way to keep up to date on the ever-growing field of networking – Get the Edge!

Session title: Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD)

Session description: Todd Lammle will discuss and demonstrate the Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) which is the best Security product in the world right now. Learn the how, why and what of a future of network security with Cisco Firepower and ISE PxGrid and why this product is better than Palo Alto and other competitors.

Biography: Todd Lammle is the authority on Cisco certification and internetworking and is Cisco certified in most Cisco certification categories. He is a world-renowned author, speaker, trainer, and consultant. Todd has over three decades of experience working with LANs, WANs, and large enterprise licensed and unlicensed wireless networks, and lately he’s been implementing both large Cisco data centers world-wide, including Cisco Firepower/FTD technologies.

His years of real world experience is evident in his writing; he is not just an author but an experienced networking engineer with very practical experience working on the largest networks in the world at such companies as Xerox, Hughes Aircraft, Texaco, AAA, Cisco, and Toshiba, among many others. Todd has published over 70 books, including the very popular CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide, CCNA Wireless Study Guide, CCNA Data Center Study Guide, SSFIPS Firepower Study Guide, as well as the brand new Firepower 6.x FTD Study guide. He runs an international consulting and training company based in Colorado.

Biography: Svetlana Sidenko is the President of IT Chapter, a certified women-owned, Montreal-based company, which specializes in IT consulting and IT Best Practices training, which she co-founded in 2003. With her first Master degree in Education, she also a graduate of John Molson School of Business in BComm and MSc (Admin), she spent over 17 years in management, including 15 years in IT. Over the years, she led teams towards full Service Management and IT Governance implementation in various organizations, participated in numerous Business Transformation initiatives, and implementations of processes improvements, including building organizational structures (PMO, SMO, QMO, AMO). She has trained hundreds of students in her client’s organizations and in public courses in ITIL®, CobiT®, TIPA, BRMP®, Project Management and other disciplines.

Svetlana is a PMP® since year 2003 , Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT®, ISACA), ITIL® Expert, PRINCE® 2 Practitioner, Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP®), Certified Process Design Engineer (CPDE®), TIPA Lead Assessor and Accredited Best Practices Trainer of several disciplines. As a consultant, she has experience in various industries, and worked in Global enterprises/virtual teams, of both small and large sizes as well as in major Canadian corporations.

Session description: Frank Sullivan will discuss the impact of digitization: a digital network architecture as a new infrastructure layer to address new requirements. He will debate on how digital business helps in day-to-day life and how it makes the whole client experience possible.

Biography: Frank Sullivan is the Regional Vice President of Sales and Operations for Cisco’s Global Service Provider division in Eastern Canada. He has direct accountability for a sales and support team that delivers $100M+ of annual revenues while providing leading cable and media companies with access to world class innovations. A telecom professional with over 20 years of sales and management experience he joined Cisco in 2000. Frank provides expertise in national channel management, business development, and worldwide direct sales gained in the software industry.

Frank has a BA from Concordia University and is also a graduate of the Université Canadienne à Nice, France.

In the past, Frank served as a committee member of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation and recently was the Chair, Corporate Sales at RBC Canadian Open held in Montreal, July 2014.

Biography: Doneyli De Jesus has more than 13 years of experience in Information Technology with the last 10 years focusing on BI & Analytics. As a Systems Engineer for Cloudera, he has been designing and architecting Big Data solutions for large enterprises in Canada. He’s incredibly data-driven and believes that data can help us solve the most complex problems in the world.

Biography: Maxime Guévin a fait son entrée chez Vidéotron en 2000. Il fût nommé Directeur général, Grossiste et Service aux télécommunicateurs, Vidéotron Service Affaires, en décembre 2011 et Directeur général, 4Degrés centres de données en 2015. Il s’est fait rapidement remarquer en raison de son leadership et de sa capacité à mobiliser ses équipes.
Maxime pilote de nombreux dossiers stratégiques, dont l’acquisition d’actifs pour continuer à améliorer notre réseau filaire et sans fil de Vidéotron à travers le Québec. Maxime s’est vu confier la responsabilité de négocier des contrats d’envergure à l’international, tels que des ententes d’itinérance pour le sans-fil. Il pilote également l’achat de services de communication aux télécommunicateurs nationaux et internationaux afin de répondre aux besoins de Vidéotron et des filiales de Québecor. De plus, depuis l’acquisition de 4Degrés, Maxime s’est vu confier la gestion des ventes, l’approvisionnement et les opérations générales de l’entreprise. Il est également responsable de l’expansion des installations de la ville de Québec de même que la construction du centre de données de Montréal. En 2014 et 2015, le leadership de Maxime fût mis à profit lors de la construction du Centre Vidéotron de Québec où il était en charge du projet de déploiement de l’ensemble des infrastructures de télécommunications du centre.

Ingénieur et gestionnaire chevronné, Maxime se démarque notamment par son grand sens du leadership. Doté d’un dynamisme exceptionnel et d’une grande expérience en télécommunications et centres de données, il consacre toutes ses énergies à offrir aux clients de Vidéotron et 4Degrés le meilleur service qui soit.

Maxime Guévin est titulaire d’une maîtrise en administration des affaires (MBA) de l’École des hautes études commerciales de Montréal et d’un baccalauréat en génie électrique de l’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Il est membre de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. Avant de joindre l’équipe de Vidéotron, Maxime a œuvré chez SR Télécom inc. comme Ingénieur de chantier à l’international et chez Télébec ltée comme Directeur de projets à l’ingénierie.
